Yes, there were other sports going on yesterday if you can believe it. The Brewers had the foresight to move up their 5-2 loss to Kansas City so as to not interfere with Game Six last night. And in Mankato, Minnesota yesterday evening, the brightest stars of the Northwoods League competed in the annual All-Star Game.
In front of over 2,800 fans at ISG Field, the Great Plains Division and La Crosse Logger Kyle Casper defeated the Great Lakes Division 7-3 despite being outhit 10-8. Casper had two plate appearances, striking out once and getting hit by a pitch.
Minnesota Viking wide receiver Adam Thielen threw out the ceremonial first pitch last night, as well.
The Loggers are back tomorrow evening at Mayo Field against Rochester.
