"Stuff the Bus" Fundraiser

The Cashton Lions Club will be hosting a “Stuff The Bus” fundraiser at Hansen’s IGA in Cashton. Lions members will be grilling and selling brats, hot dogs, and pork chop sandwiches. The proceeds will be used to purchase the necessary school supplies to prepare students for their academic studies, building their self-esteem and setting them up for success.

At this time of year, family finances are strained by the expense of providing backpacks, pens, pencils, notebooks, glue sticks, and other basic back to school items. Parents then have to make unfair choices like paying for school supplies or groceries, the electric bill or car insurance.

The Lions will also accept the donation of school supplies. The wishlist of items include:

  • Backpacks
  • Pencils #2 (prefer Ticonderoga brand)
  • Pencil top erasers
  • Fiskar scissors
  • Dry erase markers
  • Pens
  • Crayola crayons (24 count)
  • Glue Sticks
  • Folders
  • Spiral notebooks
  • Ear buds
  • Squeeze bottles of glue
  • Clorox Disinfecting Wipes (Citrus Only)
  • Kleenex
  • Ziploc zipper top bags (quart & gallon)

When you’re shopping in the coming days consider purchasing a few of the above items to help us provide all of the students of the Cashton area with needed school supplies. A complete list can be found on the Cashton Public Schools website. Cash donations will also be accepted the day of the event. The supplies will be distributed to students of the Cashton Public Schools and Sacred Heart.
