The 8th Annual Freedom Honor Flight Veterans Day Breakfast, one of the largest gatherings of veterans in the area, will be held at Mitchell Hall Fieldhouse, UW-La Crosse. The free breakfast is open to military veterans and their spouses. This year, serving begins 8 a.m. rather than 7 a.m. as in previous years. Cub Scouts from Holmen will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
This year’s speaker is Lt. Col. Erik Archer, professor of military science at UW-La Crosse. Archer served in military police battalions in Iraq and Afghanistan and spent three years with the joint staff at the Pentagon.
